MADIUN – Pemerintahan Desa Metesih, Kecamatan Jiwan, Madiun, Jawa Timur, belum lama merampungkan proyek irigasi tersier di wilayahnya. Pengerjaan proyek melalui Himpunan Petani Pemakai Air (Hippa) ‘Tani Makmur’ setempat, yang dikerjakan selama dua bulan secara swakelola.
Hal itu disampaikan Kepala Desa Metesih, Paidjo, kepada jurnalis di ruang kerjanya, Rabu (14/06/2023). Pembangunan sektor irigasi tersebut, ucapnya, guna menopang ketahanan pangan di wilayahnya.
Menurut Paidjo, proyek pembangunan irigasi permanen tersebut dikerjakan sepanjang lebih dari 300 meter, guna memperlancar irigasi ratusan hektar areal persawahan petani setempat.
“Kami Pemerintah Desa Metesih serius memperhatikan kebutuhan, keperluan dan kepentingan para petani. Ketersediaan irigasi kami anggap sebagai salah satu hal pokok dalam bercocok tanam. Sebab itulah kami membangun saluran irigasi tersebut,” jelas Paidjo.
Pengerjaan proyek tersebut, kata Paidjo, menghabiskan dana senilai Rp. 195 juta yang bersumber dari APBN, melalui Program Percepatan Peningkatan Tata Guna Air Irigasi (P3-TGAI) Tahun Anggaran 2023.
Dana sebesar itu, lanjut Paidjo, dipergunakan sesuai peruntukannya dan demi kepentingan sebagaimana anjuran pemerintah. Karena itu, tambahnya, pihaknya tidak berani ‘bermain-main’ dengan anggaran yang telah ditentukan peruntukannya tersebut.
“Jadi antara besaran anggaran dan wujud pembangunan, silahkan cek. Sesuai apa melenceng. Bahkan, kedalaman pondasi yang standarnya 30 Cm, malah saya minta lebih dalam lagi, antara 35 sampai 40 Cm,” papar Paidjo.
Pihaknya berharap saluran tersier yang baru rampung pengerjaannya itu, bisa menopang kegiatan bercicok tanam para petani di wilayahnya. Kecuali itu, harapnya pula, para petani yang terlibat penggunaan irigasi bisa merawat bangunan tersebut agar awet dipakai.
Pemerintah desa setempat berusaha terus membangun saluran irigasi untuk mengkoneksi, agar semua areal persawahan nantinya terjangkau irigasi secara memadai.
Akan tetapi, jelas Paidjo, pembangunan yang akan datang tentunya menunggu datangnya alokasi anggaran baru. “Mudah-mudahan kalau wilayah kita mendapat anggaran lagi, ya kita kembangkan lagi untuk kebutuhan petani,” tutupnya. (fin)
